Ð festival

Ð festival is a graduation tour by the contemporary dance students of the Iceland University of the Arts. The course is international, bringing together young dancers from across the world.

Iceland is a geographically isolated place, and therefore, international students are not always able to share their dances with their families. Ð festival is a touring festival which brings their graduation works from the island to mainland Europe.

Each year, the festival travels to the hometowns of the international students from the graduating class. That way, they can connect with their roots, share those roots with each other, and in most cases, have their first taste of touring their works.
The first edition of the festival took place in 2024. The newly graduated class performed in Tallinn, Lohja, Tampere, and Karlskrona.

In addition to the previous, Ð festival is working as an archive of the graduates from IUA.

Explore where they are from and what their final works were!
